TIER DECISION
Standard Tier or Premium Tier?
Same brand, two engineering tiers — pick the one that fits your load profile and budget.
SCENARIO DECISION GUIDE
When to choose Standard: for pumps, fans and other variable-torque loads, Standard Tier delivers the same running performance with a lower TCO. When to choose Premium: for extruders, winders and other high-precision torque applications, Premium Tier’s DTC technology remains the safer, more stable choice.
📊 5-Year TCO Comparison
Variable torque load · energy + purchase + maintenance
Data based on a simulated energy model under typical operating conditions; actual TCO varies with load type, running hours and electricity price.

Common Challenges, Solved
Real motor-control problems you face on site — and the drive configuration that fixes them.
Water hammer when pumps start and stop
Direct-on-line starts send pressure surges through the pipe network, cracking joints, stressing pumps and tripping alarms on every cycle.
SOLUTION
Soft-start ramp + built-in PID pressure control
RESULT
ressure spikes eliminated · pump and seal life extended
Related Case →
Motors overheating in high ambient temperature
Hot environments force derating and can trip the drive mid-production — losing you output exactly when cooling demand is highest.
SOLUTION
Derating-curve-matched selection + coated PCBA option
RESULT
Stable rated output up to 50°C · fewer unplanned stops
Related Case →
Harmonics tripping upstream breakers
Non-linear loads distort the supply, nuisance-trip shared distribution equipment and can void warranty on sensitive neighbours.
SOLUTION
Built-in DC choke + optional external harmonic filter
RESULT
THDi below 10% · no more nuisance trips on shared feeders

Motor burnout from repeated DOL starts
High inrush current heats motor windings on every start; frequent cycling quickly shortens insulation life and drives repair cost.
SOLUTION
Current-limited ramp with thermal-model motor protection
RESULT
Inrush cut by up to 60% · insulation and bearing life extended

F A Q
VFD Questions, Answered
The questions buyers ask before they send a quote request.
Q1 — What's the difference between a VFD and a soft starter?
A soft starter ramps voltage to limit starting current, but the motor keeps running at full speed. A VFD varies both voltage and frequency, giving full speed control — which is what unlocks energy savings on pumps and fans. Use a soft starter when you only need smooth starts; use a VFD when you need speed control or energy savings.
Q2 — How do I size a VFD for my motor?
Send us your motor nameplate: voltage, rated current (FLA), power and your application. For constant-torque loads (conveyors, extruders) we usually match or slightly oversize the drive; for variable-torque loads (pumps, fans) the drive is matched to the motor FLA. We confirm a model and quotation within 24 hours.
Q3 — How much energy can a VFD actually save?
On variable-torque loads, savings of 20–50% are typical because energy falls with the cube of speed. Actual savings depend on your duty cycle, running hours and electricity price — send us your operating profile and we will run a quick payback estimate with you.
Q4 — How long do VFDs last?
With a clean supply and reasonable ambient temperature, a quality drive typically runs 10–15 years. The main wear component is the DC-link capacitors, usually replaced after 8–10 years. Our drives include full thermal management and surge protection to maximise service life.
Q5 — Do you support OEM orders and custom lead times?
Yes. Standard Tier models ship from stock in 2–6 weeks; custom and OEM orders (logo, firmware defaults, communication options) run 8–16 weeks depending on configuration. We quote lead time in writing with every order and keep a buffer stock for urgent replacements.
Q6 — What maintenance does a drive need?
Minimal: keep it clean and dry, check fans and terminals during annual inspection, and plan a capacitor check around year 8. We provide a simple maintenance checklist with every shipment and free online support for commissioning and troubleshooting.
Q7 — Can a VFD run any motor?
Most standard three-phase AC induction motors can run on a VFD, provided voltage, current and insulation class are compatible. For special motors (submersibles, explosion-proof, servo, single-phase) the drive selection differs — send us the motor details and we will confirm compatibility before you order.
